Panda Awards film competition
The Panda Awards are the world’s most prestigious and influential awards for film of the natural world. Leading filmmakers from across the globe enter the competition for a chance to win the highest accolade a film can win, the coveted Golden Panda Award.
The Panda Awards are the wildlife and environmental equivalent of the OSCARS ®. The final winners will be revealed at the gala Awards Ceremony during the Wildscreen Festival.
The 2010 film competition has now closed. The next competition will open in January 2012.
Entering a film into Wildscreen is simple:
- Read the rules to ensure your film is eligible.
- Check the Panda Award categories and choose which are most suitable for you. You may enter as many categories as you like.
- Log into My Festival and complete the online entry form (one form for each film entered).
- Send your film to us with all of required enclosures and payments.
- After the nomination panel meet in May you will be notified if you are a Festival finalist.

To receive a nomination for any of the Panda Awards is a major achievement. In addition to the worldwide recognition and prestige of being a finalist there are many other benefits:
- All films entered will be given a full listing in the Wildscreen Festival Directory – the essential listings guide for the wildlife media industry.
- All films entered will be featured on the Wildscreen Festival website.
- All films entered will be available for viewing in the film library throughout the Festival week.
- Selected finalist films will be screened and promoted during the Festival.
- All finalist films will be featured during the Panda Awards ceremony, the highlight of the Wildscreen Festival, attended by 650 industry professionals.
- Selected finalist filmmakers will be invited to speak at special screenings of their films during Wildscreen.
